‘BLACK: A Festival of Joy’ in Indianapolis this weekend

In an effort to name, display, and embody Black Joy, volunteers representing Indianapolis-based, Black-led organizations are coming together to produce BLACK: A Festival of Joy.

Coordinator and Founder of the event, Nigel Long, joins us in the studio to provide all the details.

The goal of the event is to bring the black community of Indianapolis together! The event will feature music, art, food, and tons more entertainment, with the goal of being a celebration of black joy and creativity.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 8, at the Taggart Memorial Ampitheatre from 3-9 p.m. Admissions is free!
