Headless Horseman Festival at Conner Prairie celebrates opening day

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH)– The Headless Horseman Festival is back at Conner Prairie and people say they’ve brought some “additional thrills” to the festival in 2021.

New this year is the Scarecrow Building Contest where visitors have the chance to dig into their creative toolboxes and see who can make the best one. Fans will vote to decide which scarecrow is the best and the winner will get a prize from Conner Prairie.

Some of the classic activities returning are the haunted hayrides, live shows, storytelling, games, music and food from festival vendors. Also new, for adults, the Ichabrewed Crane beer from Sun King Brewery. It’s a specially made fall beer inspired by the Headless Horseman Hayrides and haunted houses at the festival.

Conner Prairie Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, Andrew Bradford, talked with All Indiana’s Randall Newsome about what to expect from the Headless Horseman Festival in 2021.
