How to make Mimi’s Irresistible Baked Beans

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — You may be craving these forever after just one bite! 

  • 2 large (28 ounce) cans of Van Camp’s Pork and Beans 
  • 1 (15 ounce) can Van Camp’s Pork and Beans
  • 2 cups Heinz ketchup
  • 2 large sweet onions, cut in half 
  • 4 strips bacon
  1. Preheat oven to 350º  
  2. Pour some of the liquid off of the cans of beans
  3. In a 9×13 casserole dish, pour all beans
  4. Stir in ketchup and brown sugar
  5. Place onion halves in, cut side down, arranging in places around the beans 
  6. Put strips of bacon lengthwise across the beans and onions and sprinkle the top with a little more brown sugar 
  7. Place in the oven uncovered for 1 1/2 hours
