Hundreds attend 35th ‘Start with Art’ benefit supporting local talent

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– The Arts Council of Indianapolis kicked off its fall season with the 35th annual “Start with Artbenefit. The celebration of Indy’s arts and culture scene includes live performances from the city’s own talent such as the Christopher Pitts Trio and the Premium Blend jazz quartet.

Organizers say that after the local arts community faced financial losses in 2020, this year’s campaign is especially critical and, in many ways, will go toward helping promote the council’s “Creative Comeback” and the Keep Indy Creating Fund while also supporting the nonprofits other community programs.

All Indiana’s Randall Newsome stopped in at the JW Marriott Grand Ballroom during the event to speak with Sarah Peacock with the Harrison Center Social Distanced Hoop Sculptures and Julia Muney Moore representing the Arts Council of Indianapolis.

Anyone who wants to support the Creative Comeback campaign can do so online.
