IndyFringe taking live mobile theatre through city’s neighborhoods

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The IndyFringe On Wheels is a mobile theatre taking shows across the state. Fans can enjoy an evening of live music and performances where the entire stage can be pulled out of a Ford Transit van, all they have to do is bring a chair and snacks, the show will be provided.

IndyFringe aims to encourage and support local artists to “take risks” and introduce new ideas and experiences to their audiences. The mobile theatre became a way to give people more access to their work, especially after the impact of COVID-19.

Neighborhood residents like Tom and Mitzi Witchger provide the space and the audience for the performers. The Witchgers have a passion for the arts so they got involved with IndyFringe.

It’s free for neighbors to attend the event, but tips are welcome. Click here to learn more about IndyFringe, future shows and events throughout the city.
