Ronald McDonald House ‘Swing for Kids’ golf tournament celebrates 34 years

WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana celebrated its 34th annual “Swing for Kids” golf tournament on Monday.

Every year the event serves as a fundraiser to help continue the mission of giving families with children in Indianapolis-area hospitals a “home away from home.”

Dozens of teams came out to compete in the tournament at The Club at Chatham Hills. A silent auction was also held where people could bid for items like tickets to see the Indiana Pacers or the Indianapolis Colts.

All Indiana’s Randall Newsome spoke with CEO Karin Ogden, along with the event’s organizer and McDonald’s operator Pete Wotjowicz about all the fun on the course and the cause behind it. Watch the interview for more.
