American Red Cross asks for blood donations during shortage
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The American Red Cross is asking for blood donations.
It says its shortage right now is an emergency.
The organization said it received hundreds fewer donations than usual during the Fourth of July holiday week.
The blood is going to area hospitals faster than donations are coming in.
The Red Cross is urging all available donors to head to the nearest location to donate. Find a nearby donation site at redcross.org.
