App lets users rewind to 1985 VHS style videos
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new app is taking people back to 1985.
The VHS Camcorder app by Rarevision recreates the experience of capturing VHS videos on old school cameras.
The company says it was designed to “look and sound like videotape recordings that have been in storage for 30 years.”
It even has the date and time in the bottom left hand corner. Instead of lugging the huge camera around you can get the same affect from your phone, including tape noise, static and tracking distortion.
The app is on iTunes for $3.99.
