Ball State, Ivy Tech sign transfer agreement
MUNCIE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Graduates of Ivy Tech Community College will now have a smoother transition to Ball State University after the two institutions signed a transfer agreement. The new Guaranteed Admissions Agreement allows Ivy Tech students who earned an associate of science degree in Transfer Single Articulation Pathways programs to have guaranteed admission into certain degree programs at Ball State.
“This new agreement provides a seamless way for students from Ivy Tech Community College to find their new home at Ball State,” said Susana Rivera-Mills, Ball State’s provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. “Without question, Ivy Tech students are highly motivated for success. And our University is well positioned to assist these new Cardinals as they become acclimated to our campus.”
Ivy Tech students enrolled on or after June 1 will be eligible for guaranteed admission. Ivy Tech associate degree students who apply to the university in a program not covered by the new agreement will be admitted on an individual basis.
“We have always valued our relationship and collaboration with Ball State. We have a long history developing initiatives that have not only benefited our institutions but have made an impact on our communities and students. Ivy Tech is proud that many of our students complete their degree at Ivy Tech and transfer to Ball State seamlessly. This guaranteed admissions agreement is the latest example of doing the right thing for the right reason,” said Ivy Tech Muncie Chancellor Jeffrey D. Scott.
