Beautiful tomorrow, strong storms possible Friday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– Our stretch of pleasant conditions will continue for another day before showers and storms work back in for the end of the week.

Good Wednesday evening! We lucked out again today with seasonable temperatures and very comfortable humidity levels, which made for a gorgeous afternoon. High temperatures made it into the low to mid 80s across the state.

TONIGHT:

We’ll remain dry and very comfortable as temperatures make their way into the upper 70s by 8 pm and upper 60s by midnight.

It will be a great night to open the windows and let the fresh air in! Low temperatures here in the city will bottom out in the mid-60s, but some outlying areas could cool into the upper 50s.

TOMORROW:

Another beautiful day is on tap with temperatures starting out in the low-60s by 7am and heading into the upper-60s by 8 am.

High temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 80s across the state. Although we will be warmer than Tuesday, humidity levels will still be very comfortable. FRIDAY:

The morning drive could be a little soggy with some scattered showers and storms around the area.

By lunchtime, we could see a couple breaks in the rain before it picks back up into the afternoon and evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has included north-central and central portions of the state, including the Indianapolis metro, in a marginal risk for storms. Areas south of the metro have been included in a slightly higher slight risk for severe storms. At this point, the main threats appear to be some damaging wind and hail.

WEEKEND:

Scattered showers and storms appear likely for both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will remain very mild and in the upper 70s to near 80°.

EXTENDED FORECAST:

After our beautiful stretch of lower humidity and milder temperatures, the humidity levels will once again be on the rise for the end of the work week and into the weekend.

Temperatures will be seasonable and in the low-80s for the majority of the extended forecast.  Active weather pattern setting up for next week.  Isolated rain chances wind down Monday, leaving us with a brief dry period on Tuesday.  Storm chances return to the forecast Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
