Black Eyed Peas speak to crowd about #BlackLivesMatter

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WISH) – Rapper and producer, Will.i.am spoke to a crowd about #BlackLivesMatter.

An aspiring musical artist with family in Indiana, Levi Mitchell, performed a Black Eyed Peas song in Los Angeles on July 9, when Will.i.am got out of a car and surprised the audience and singer.

Will.i.am watched for a few minutes as Mitchell sang, “I Gotta Feeling” and then joined him in a duet. The two sang, “Where is the Love?”

After their performance, Will.i.am spoke to the crowd about #BlackLivesMatter.

“All lives matter, but right now, black lives matter. Because of the things that are happening to us right now, we need white people to stand beside us. We’re all Americans at the end of the day,” he said.

It may be the young artists lucky day. The two were spotted performing again over the weekend in Los Angeles.
