Bloomington man seriously injured in crash on SR 46

BROWN COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A Bloomington man was seriously injured on Thursday after he lost control of his vehicle on State Road 46 East.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at the Brown County Democrat, 25-year-old Joshua A. Edge was traveling westbound on SR 46 when a car in font of him went around a vehicle that was turning on to 135 South. Edge then struck another driver head-on.

Edge told officers that the car in front of him surprised him and he had to jerk his wheel at the last second.

According to the report, Edge’s passenger side tires left the road causing him to lose control. When his tires came back on the road he lost control of the vehicle, it went left center and hit a vehicle head-on.

The driver of that vehicle was Mark Fisher, 49, of Blooming. He was airlifted from the scene to a local hospital.
