Body found in New Castle identified as man who went missing in August
NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) — DNA has linked a body found last month to a man with Alzheimer’s reported missing in August.
Larry Tucker was last seen Aug. 14 after walking away from Addison Place, a senior living community in New Castle.
New Castle police say his badly decomposed body was found Nov. 8 by a farmer working in a cornfield less than a mile from Addison Place. It took several weeks to positively identify the body due to its condition, according to police.
More than 100 people, a helicopter, drones and K-9s searched for the 74-year-old in the days after he went missing.
It’s unclear how Tucker managed to leave the senior living community, which requires a pass code to exit.
