Body found on northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An investigation is underway after human remains were found on the city’s northeast side.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Monday night that the investigation was near the 6400 block of Olivia Lane, which is close to 34th Street and Shadeland Avenue.

IMPD said it was in a wooded area near a pond.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified said Tuesday a man’s body was found. No other information has been released.

Detectives were still on scene overnight into Tuesday morning.
