Boone County to host virtual job fair
BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – The Boone County Economic Development Corp. is holding a virtual job fair Wednesday. The organization says the fair will focus on jobs in manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
The job fair will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and is free and open to the public. Registrants can view the fair from their mobile device, desktop or laptop.
The EDC says it will host virtual jobs fairs on a regular basis, each featuring five Boone County businesses seeking new employees. Job seekers can connect with local employers, apply for jobs and participate in interviews.
This week’s job fair will feature Boone County companies such as Amerisource Bergen, Fukai Toyotetsu Indiana Corp., Hachette Book Group, Ken’s Foods, Weston Foods (Maplehurst Bakeries) and Maxxis International USA.
The EDC says the companies are looking to fill full-time, part-time and seasonal positions. Some of the positions include: die maintenance, machine maintenance, production support and night picking supervisor, among others.
