Brown County cancels Silver Alert for missing 76-year-old

UPDATE

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office said Joseph Carmer was located Friday afternoon. He is safe and was being treated by emergency medical services personnel.

NASHVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — An Indiana Silver Alert has been issued for a 76-year-old man missing from this Brown County town. 

Joseph L. Carmer was last seen at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance. 

Carmer was described at 5-feet-9 and 183 pounds with brown-gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes. He has a “Mom” tattoo on his right forearm. 

Nashville about 60 miles south of Indianapolis.
