Thursday’s business headlines

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Thursday’s business headlines.

Cummins

Cummins and Navistar announced they will work together to develop a Class 8 electric truck powered by hydrogen fuel cells, to be tested in the real world by Werner Enterprises.

The work is being down with the help from a grant from the Department of Energy.

Hydrogen engines would be zero emissions.

Google

Google just ended unlimited free storage for photos.

Beginning June 1, 2021, any photos uploaded to Google Photos will count toward the free 15GB of storage it provides with Google accounts.

Google promised free unlimited photo storage when Google Photos was announced in 2015.

This is likely a way to push its Google One storage plans.

Hollywood

Hollywood is getting back to work.

According to FILMLA, a nonprofit group that tracks production in Los Angeles, more sitcoms, reality shows and movies were shooting in Hollywood in October than in previous months.

The group says film permits are up 24% in October but 47% down from normal.

Seltzer

Americans are drinking more tin 2020 and hard seltzer has helped fuel the trend.

IWSR Drinks Market analysis said that overall alcohol volumes are expected to have risen over 2% in 2020.
