INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Here’s a look at Thursday’s business headlines.

UPS

The holiday season is almost here and UPS is getting ready.

The shipping giant is aiming to hire at least 60,000 seasonal workers nationwide.

The hiring spree, its annual UPS Brown Friday events, will take place online and at company locations Thursday through Saturday.

Kroger

Kroger customers will be able to join a new annual membership program.

Boost by Kroger Plus will offer benefits to its loyalty program for either $59 or $99 a year. Boost will give customers access to free delivery, double fuel points and other services.

Michaels

Arts and crafts retailer Michaels has plans to compete directly with marketplaces such as Etsy that host some of its best customers: makers.

The retailer is preparing its digital platforms to begin selling customers’ creations by mid-2022.
