Wednesday’s business headlines

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Wednesday’s business headlines.

Amazon Prime

Oct. 13 will be Prime Day this year, according to several reports but not confirmed by Amazon.

It’s usually in July but was delayed due to the pandemic.

It’s the company’s biggest sales day of the year, surpassing Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.

Dunkin

Dunkin has released a collection of donut-themed beers in collaboration with Boston-based Harpoon Brewery.

The collection includes last year’s Coffee Porter, as well as a new Pumpkin Spice Latte Ale, Boston Kreme Stout and Jelly Donut IPA.

The beer comes in a 12-pack, much like Dunkin’s donuts.

Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines is transparently offering a deal that may get some reluctant travelers back to the skies: register fore the promotion and buy a flight from Sept. 22-24 and fly between Sept. 22 and Nov. 15 and you’ll earn a companion pass valid from Jan. 6 to Feb. 28, 2021.

Walmart

Walmart starts a pilot project to deliver COVID-19 test kits by drone.

The retailer has partnered with Quest Diagnostics and drone services provider DroneUp, to test-deliver collection kits in north Las Vegas.

The drones will drop the COIVD-19 self-collection kits on driveways, front sidewalks or backyards of homes within a one-mile radius of designated Walmart stores.
