Wednesday’s business headlines

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Wednesday’s business headlines.

Walmart

Walmart will launch its own low-price brand of insulin.

The new brand, called Relion Novolog, includes analog insulin vials for $72.88 and 85.88 for a package of prefilled insulin pens.

Meanwhile, top insulin seller Eli Lilly & Co. say they continue to look for ways to lower the cost of insulin.

F.C. Tucker

The F.C. Tucker company – the largest and oldest residential real estate brokerage in Indiana – has been acquired by Pittsburg-based Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.

As part of the deal, the F.C. Tucker brand will stay in place, due to the name recognition. The 103-year-old company is the largest in Indianapolis when measured by both sales volume and agents, totaling $3 billion in 2019.

Formula 1

Formula 1 strikes a $100 million cryptocurrency sponsorship.

The deal is a global partnership and will provide Crypto.com a brand presence in Formula 1’s Sprint Series.

The company will also introduce a new award at F1’s Belgain Grand Prix in August and become its NFT partner.

Amazon

Amazon announced a new feature that will turn Alexa into a reading company for children.

It also added new support for Alexa voice profiles for kids, which personalize the child’s Alexa experience across all Echo devices in household.

The feature isn’t available to all Alexa device owners, as it requires an Amazon Kids+ subscription. This is the $2.99 per month subscription service.
