Butler finishing up final preparations for Texas

PITTSBURGH (WISH) — Butler finished up final preparations Wednesday in Pittsburgh for their date with Texas on Thursday.

All eight teams at the location hit the practice floor for open practice.

Despite being the higher seed, the Bulldogs are getting little love from experts nationwide. Most are picking a Texas upset.

“Someone told me the president picked them, so that’ll be the last time I vote for him,” said Butler coach Chris Holtmann jokingly.

“We knew we were going to play a really good team and they’re a really good team,” added Holtmann.

Texas’ size is sure to be a factor. They have five players who stand 6’9″ or taller. Butler only has one.

Game time is approximately 2:45 p.m.
