Butler gears up for ‘biggest game in Hinkle history’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Hinkle Fieldhouse will be rocking on Saturday night when the Butler Bulldogs play host to Villanova, the sixth ranked team in the nation.

Butler lost to the Wildcats earlier this season in their conference opener, but the Dawgs are a much tougher and more confident team. A Bulldogs win means a tie for first place in the Big East.

Andrew Chrabascz knows the stakes are high.

“We are playing for first place right now in our gym and that is huge,” said the sophomore. “It’s going to be a lot of fun on Saturday. The atmosphere will be unbelievable, so thats going to be huge for us. So we know we have to come to this game with a different approach and just be ready to play right from the tip.”

“They beat us three straight times, so from that as well it’s definitely going to be different,” added senior guard Alex Barlow. “I think Hinkle is going to have an atmosphere that we have not had in a lot of games since I have been here, maybe the Gonzaga game, maybe the few Xavier games but Hinkle is going to be rocking and it’s going to be a fun environment to play in.”

Student tickets have been sold out for weeks, some calling this the biggest game in Hinkle history for Butler. Tip off set for 6 p.m.
