Calm now, severe storm chances return

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– After a dry and warm weekend, storm chances return for the first part of the work week.

Good Monday evening! Coming off of a very sunny and warm Monday, rain chances return heading into Tuesday afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined a marginal risk of severe storms for the Indianapolis metro and areas east, Damaging winds and hail will be the primary threats. Although the day should not be a complete washout, make sure to keep the umbrella handy as showers and storms will remain scattered throughout Tuesday afternoon and evening. The rest of the week looks dry and very sunny!

We’ll be slow to cool down tonight only making it into the mid-80s by dinnertime. After the sun sets shortly after 9 p.m., temperatures will head into the upper 70s to near 80 with partly cloudy skies.

Low temperatures will bottom out in the low 70s. A very isolated chance for a shower or two will remain throughout the night and heading into the morning drive time.
