INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — As race fans geared up for events on Carb Day, traffic into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway began to backup on Friday morning.
Chopper 8 flew over the backup that stretched from westbound 16th Street to the White River. As people were trying to make their way to the infield parking.
Traffic was beginning to back up at 36th Street and on side streets, due to race fans making their way into Lot 7 and the north entrance of IMS.
Motorists traveling to IMS should expect delays.
