Carmel police searching for fraud, theft suspect

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Carmel are looking for a suspect in connection a recent fraud and theft incident, according to the Carmel Police Department.

CPD says on April 11 at approximately 10:30 a.m., a woman entered a Carmel bank and then proceeded to present a teller with a fake ID, which she used to take an undisclosed amount of money from someone’s account.

Police described the suspect as a black female, who was wearing glasses and a blonde wig during the incident.

Additionally, a younger black woman wearing a yellow jacket and sunglasses with long dark hair was with the suspect as the time of the theft, according to police.
