Chilly weekend forecast

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Skies on Friday night will become mostly clear across central Indiana.

Get ready for a cold night with temperatures falling into a single digits. Winds will make it feel more like zero or 5 below zero.

The start of the weekend looks to be dry but cold. Look for lots of sunshine Saturday. Temperatures will start in the single digits and climb into the upper 20s close to 30 for the afternoon.

Our next system arrives Sunday. Snow will be possible along and north of I-70 while rain will mix in south of Indianapolis. Snowfall accumulations look like they will be on the low side with many areas seeing less than an inch.

Highs on Sunday will climb into the lower 30s, which is still a little below the normal high of 38.

8 DAY FORECAST

Temperatures will begin to climb into the upper 30s and lower 40s for the first part of the new workweek. We’ll see a couple chances for a wintry mix, one Monday and the other Tuesday.

Sunshine will return for the middle of the week with highs staying around normal.
