Church providing help to those affected by government shutdown
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A local church is offering help to people impacted by the government shutdown.
Grace Church is opening its care center furloughed workers and people who are losing their food stamps.
Beginning on Tuesday, federal employees and their families can visit the church’s food pantry.
The church’s pastor Keith Carlson says the center’s mission is to help people experiencing hardships in the community.
Grace Church seves nearly 600 familes a week.
Carlson says donations and volunteers are always welcome.
The church is located at 5504 146th Street in Noblesville.
