Circle Spark Fest combines with UbeFest for big weekend
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)- Circle Spark Fest is returning for a second year. This year they are combining with a new festival called UbeFest.
Ube is a purple yam often used in Philippine dishes. Salamat Cookies is leading the charge on making that happen.
Salamat is Filipino for thank you.
Salamat owner, Michael Williams, says that’s what his business is all about, being thankful.
Many of their cookies and lattes feature the ube.
The event will take place October 28 and 29 on Monument Circle.
There will be numerous Philippine businesses on hand that day.
October is also Philippine Culture Month. Williams says celebrating his heritage is important.
The event is free to attend.
SPARK on the Circle is the new pop-up park on the southwest quadrant of Monument Circle.
The open space offers a range of free events for people through November.
