INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) —  The Indiana Department of Transportation on Tuesday announced plans for more work on Interstate 65 and more lane closures to avoid. 

Motorists have some time to prepare.

The closure on I-65 North on the northwest side will not start until 9 p.m. June 14. They will shut down all northbound lanes between I-865 and I-465. They will remain closed until July 1.

Later, work will happen on the other side of I-65. Southbound lanes on the same stretch of the interstate will close from July 12 to July 29.

INDOT is recommending getting around the closures by taking I-465 and I-865. 

During the closure, INDOT tells us crews will be milling and repaving the road.
