INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Colts will host up to 12,500 fans at Lucas Oil Stadium for their Oct. 18 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Colts owner Jim Irsay tweeted the news on Thursday.

The capacity increase marks the third increase this season as the team has worked with the Marion County Public Health Department in order to meet guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The stadium seats 67,000 fans during football games.

For the season home opener, only 2,500 fans were allowed at the stadium. That number tripled to 7,500 fans for their second home game on Sept. 27.

Tickets for the Oct. 18 game will go on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m.
