INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) The Colts waived running back Vick Ballard on Tuesday afternoon, WISH-TV has learned. The Colts have yet to make the news official. It was first reported by NFL.com’s Ian Rappaport.
Ballard has been dealing with a hamstring injury in the past month. He has struggled with injuries throughout his time in Indianapolis. He tore his ACL in 2013, then tore his Achilles in 2014. After a productive rookie season, he’s played in just one game since.
The Colts now have three running backs on the roster: Frank Gore, Josh Robinson and Tyler Varga.
