Comfortable Wednesday ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Expect slight relief for Wednesday before heat settles in for the rest of the week.

TONIGHT: We have the chance to see scattered strong to severe storms in the mid to late afternoon hours. There is a marginal risk of severe weather for all of central Indiana. Damaging winds are the primary threat along with small hail and heavy downpours.

Lows will dip into the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY: We will have another wave of pleasant and dry air that will drop the humidity values. This will give us a much more comfortable day to enjoy.

Highs will rise into the mid 80s.

THURSDAY: The pleasant and dry air will continue for us, but it will be a little bit warmer. Highs will top out in the upper 80s.

8 DAY FORECAST: We look to remain dry by as we head toward the end of Friday, but the heat is set to return by then. The high temperatures will rise back into the 90s by the weekend along with the humidity values. Heat index values could reach the high 90s to near 100. Storm chances look to return by Sunday and linger into the beginning of the new workweek. Fortunately, temperatures look to fall back into the low 80s by next Wednesday.
