INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Crime Stoppers is set to host its Community Shred-It and Electronics Recycling Day.

The biannual event is set for Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m at a number of locations throughout the city.

While it’s a completely free event, a $5 donation for a box of paper and $20 for electronic items is suggested. Phones are free to shred.

The organization says these donations are important because Crime Stoppers relies on them to run its programs.

It’s an event that happens twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
