Cool and breezy day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A mild start to Tuesday morning with temperatures in the lower 50s. A cold front will pass through the state during the morning hours, switching the winds out of the northwest funneling in cooler air for the day. Temperatures will cool to the 40s Tuesday morning before rebounding to the lower 50s this afternoon. The cold front will drag out any cloud cover Tuesday morning and we’ll have blue sky and sunshine for the rest of the day.

The next weather maker arrives overnight and early Wednesday morning. A few passing showers are possible in northeast Indiana. There is a frost advisory and freeze warning for eastern portions of the state. Highs will rebound to the lower 60s with a mostly cloudy sky and a few pop-up showers during the afternoon.

Thursday will be a wet one with showers throughout the day with highs running a bit cooler. Most spots will top out in the upper 50s. Showers will exit late Thursday. Friday will be a warm and cloudy day with highs in the upper 60s and a few late showers.

Showers return Saturday with highs cooling once again to the upper 50s.
