Cooler with showers this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s been a cool and cloudy day around central Indiana. Temperatures this afternoon stayed in the lower 50s.

Overnight lows will fall into the lower 40s, and some areas north of Indianapolis may see temperatures fall into the upper 30s. Skies will begin to become partly cloudy overnight.

Look for a little sunshine early Saturday morning before another deck of clouds roll into the area. Temperatures will start in the 40s, climb into the 50s by noon and reach close to 60 for the afternoon.

Much of the first part of Saturday will be dry. Rain chances will increase later in the afternoon. By evening, there’s a good chance many of us will see some light showers.

Showers will continue for the first part of Mother’s Day. There’s a chance for a few scattered showers for the afternoon. Otherwise, look for mostly cloudy and cooler conditions Sunday with highs staying the upper 50s.

A few spotty showers will linger into Monday with highs close to 60. We will finally see some sunshine Tuesday with highs climbing to the upper 60s. Rain returns Wednesday. The end of the week looks dry with warmer temperatures and highs in the lower 70s.
