ISDH: 2,130 new COVID-19 cases; 69 more deaths

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – New COVID-19 data has been released by the Indiana State Department of Health.

ISDH says 2,130 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19; those tests were recorded between Oct. 1 and Oct. 3.

A total of 974,169 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19 since March 2020.

The ISDH coronavirus dashboard reported 69 new deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana between Sept. 21 and Oct. 4.

The dashboard is updated by 5 p.m. weekdays and is not updated on weekend days.

A total of 15,342 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. Another 502 “probable” deaths have occurred but a positive test is not on record.

The 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals stands at 17.8%. The 7-day positivity rate for all tests is 9.5%.

A total of 13,710,409 tests have been administered to 4,223,007 Hoosiers.

There are currently 1,879 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19.

ISDH says 6,556,381 vaccination doses have been administered to Hoosiers, and 3,289,987 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

According to the Regenstrief Institute, 885,722 Hoosiers are estimated to have recovered from the virus.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 235,558,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 4,811,000 deaths.
