ISDH: 2,888 new COVID-19 cases; 65 more deaths recorded

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – New COVID-19 data has been released by the Indiana State Department of Health.

ISDH says 2,888 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19. Those tests were recorded on Sept. 28.

A total of 959,409 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19 since March 2020.

On Monday, ISDH reported 65 new deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana.

A total of 15,132 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. Another 493 “probable” deaths have occurred but a positive test is not on record.

The 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals stands at 18.7%. The 7-day positivity rate for all tests is 9.8%.

A total of 13,505,446 tests have been administered to 4,183,248 Hoosiers.

There are currently 2,129 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19.

ISDH says 6,513,034 vaccination doses have been administered to Hoosiers, and 3,264,427 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

According to the Regenstrief Institute, 864,414 Hoosiers are estimated to have recovered from the virus.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 232,967,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 4,769,000 deaths.
