ISDH: 6,094 new COVID-19 cases, 80 deaths added since Friday’s dashboard update

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – New COVID-19 data has been released by the Indiana State Department of Health.

ISDH says 1,822 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19; those tests were recorded on Oct. 3. However, the ISDH coronavirus dashboard reported 6,085 additional Hoosiers have tested positive since its last update Friday.

A total of 972,067 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19 since March 2020.

The ISDH coronavirus dashboard reported no new deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana on Oct. 3, but showed 80 new deaths since Friday’s dashboard update.

The dashboard is updated by 5 p.m. weekdays and is not updated on weekend days.

A total of 15,273 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. Another 500 “probable” deaths have occurred but a positive test is not on record.

The 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals stands at 17.9%. The 7-day positivity rate for all tests is 9.5%.

A total of 13,684,030 tests have been administered to 4,218,553 Hoosiers.

There are currently 1,861 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19.

ISDH says 6,552,410 vaccination doses have been administered to Hoosiers, and 3,287,689 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

According to the Regenstrief Institute, 881,581 Hoosiers are estimated to have recovered from the virus.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 235,058,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 4,804,000 deaths.
