ISDH: More than 1,200 new COVID-19 cases; 10 additional deaths

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Friday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 1,253 more COVID-19 cases and 10 additional deaths.

The new cases are from between Aug. 4 and Aug. 6 while the newly announced deaths are from between July 31 and Aug. 6.

In total, there are 72,254 COVID-19 cases and 2,821 deaths related to the virus in Indiana.

According to the department, there have been1,023,328 tests administered in the state.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 19,128,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 11,591,000 recoveries and more than 715,000 deaths.
