Counselors on hand after boy, mother murdered
BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The young boy killed in a double murder on Wednesday was Raymond Giehll IV.
He went to pre-school at Traders Point Christian Academy. His classes were on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Counselors will be at the school Thursday to talk with the families of Raymond’s classmates. On Wednesday, the school issued a statement saying, “there is no earthly explanation for this but we can trust God, even in the midst of this tragedy. Please join us in praying for Mr. Giehll, the extended family, and our EC staff as they process through an incredibly difficult time.”
Raymond and Katherine Giehll leave behind father and husband Raymond Giehll III. The family says the couple had been married about five years. Wednesday was Katherine’s 31st birthday.
Her family says she was a vet tech who loved animals. Raymond’s aunt says he was a typical boy, always had a smile on his face and loved climbing. People who lived near the Giehlls say they’re in shock.
The family says the Giehlls lived in their Zionsville home for about two years. On Thursday, Traders Point Christian Academy will be remembering young Raymond and Katherine. Classes begin around 7:45 a.m.
