Crews respond to northeast side apartment complex fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Crews responded to an apartment complex fire on the city’s northeast side late Wednesday evening.

The fire broke out at the Cottages of Fall Creek located in the 5600 block of Brendon Way Parkway just before midnight.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, two firefighters did sustain injuries while battling the flames.

One firefighter fell about 10 feet off a ladder while a second firefighter cut their hand.

Both were checked out on the scene and went back to work.

The cause of the fire is unclear at this point.

Damage has been estimated at $100,000.
