1 dead after shooting in residential area on east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person has died after being shot Monday night on the city’s east, police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called at 10:25 p.m. Monday to a report of a person shot in the 2400 block of East 35th Street. That’s a residential area southeast of the intersection of East 38th Street and Keystone Avenue.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 59-year-old Juan Rodriguez.
The fatal shooting is the second in Indianapolis on Monday. A man died after a shooting at a church Monday afternoon on the city’s northwest side.
