Coroner IDs man killed in shooting on near east side
UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed in a shooting on the city’s east side early Saturday morning as 27-year-old Jadestynn Phillips.
The coroner said Phillips died after suffering from a gunshot wound. His death is a homicide.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person died after being shot on the city’s near east side Saturday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 3100 block of North Baltimore Terrace just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday on reports of a person shot. That’s near Baltimore and Orchard avenues north of 30th Street.
When officers arrived to the scene they found a victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and later died.
The identity of the victim has not been released. It is unclear if authorities have identified a suspect.
