Coroner IDs man killed in shooting on west side

UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting on the city’s west side.

The coroner says Juan Labra, 52, died from multiple gunshot wounds Thursday in the 1700 block of North Exeter Avenue.

No other details have been released.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person has died after a shooting was reported Thursday night in a residential area on the city’s west side, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called on a report of a person shot just after 8:20 p.m. Thursday to the 1700 block of North Exeter Avenue. That’s a few blocks northwest of the intersection of West 16th Street and North Tibbs Avenue.

After arriving on the scene, officers located an adult male who was suffering from what police believe to be a gunshot wound. The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

No details about the victim or a possible suspect have been released.
