1 killed in shooting on southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man is dead following an overnight shooting on the city’s southwest side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Around 1:15 a.m., officers were called to the 2800 block of Foltz Street for a report of a person shot.

Once on the scene, officers located Jonathan Means, 29, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said they are looking for a possibly armed suspect who was spotted from the scene as officers arrived in the area. Officers said they believed the shooting to be an isolated incident and that there is no immediate danger to anyone in the area.

No suspect information has been released.
