2 shot on east side, teen in critical condition

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A teenager is in critical condition after being shot on the city’s east side Wednesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers were called to the 4500 block of East 16th before 1:30 a.m. for a person shot report.

IMPD said that after arriving on the scene, two people – an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old – were found shot.

Police said an officer was in the parking lot of a shopping center when a vehicle with both victims inside drove over to the officer.

The 15-year-old was transported to the hospital in critical condition while the 18-year-old was said to be in stable condition.

The relationship between the two is unclear at this time.

Police also said both victims were being uncooperative.

No possible suspect information has been released.
