INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 25-year-old Indianapolis man was charged Tuesday with murder in the death of a 22-year-old last week on the east side, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said. 

Hasler Rousselin was accused in the shooting death of Daniel Gaiter. The Marion County Coroner’s Office said Gaiter died of multiple gunshot wounds. 

IMPD officers responded about 8:30 a.m. May 29 to the 400 block of South Kitley Avenue. That’s in a commercial area northwest of the intersection of Shadeland and English avenues.

IMPD said emergency medical personnel pronounced Gaiter dead on scene.

Rousselin’s initial hearing was Tuesday morning in Marion Superior Court, Criminal Division 5. A pretrial conference was set for July 16.
