28-year-old man killed in shooting on near-northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man is dead after a shooting on the city’s near-northeast side Thursday evening, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday night identified the man as Joshua Vaughns, 28.
Police were called to the 600 block of Eugene Street around 11 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Once on the scene, officers found Vaughns shot in a truck.
He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition; he later died there.
No suspect information has been released.
