34-year-old man shot, killed on near-northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man is dead after a shooting on the near-northeast side Wednesday night.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified him as Carlos Starks, 34.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say officers responded just after 8 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a person shot in the 2100 block of East 30th Street. That is just west of the intersection of North Keystone Avenue and East 30th Street.

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition and died shortly after arriving.
