35-year-old dies of gunshot wounds after being found next to running vehicle

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 35-year-old man died after being found Sunday morning lying in the street next to a running vehicle, authorities said. 

The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the victim as Dell Howard II. An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds. 

Just after 7:30 a.m. Sunday, police were asked to check on the welfare of a man lying by a running vehicle in the 2500 block of North Lasalle Street. Police found Howard suffering from trauma to his body and he died at the scene.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has yet to release an suspect information.
